Woke up at 5:40am. I slept very well. The three of us went downstairs at 6:30am. Gil slept on the sofa at night because his bed was too uncomfortable.

After breakfast, he went back to the beach.

The shower is a disgrace. The door is falling apart, it is too small to turn around, and the shower head is fixed...

Today was a long day. First, we drove to Eckernförde. We parked there for €2 per hour and walked around the city center for a bit. We found a candy and chocolate factory where we stocked up. Nadine discovered the ascent to a viewpoint overlooking the entire harbor and some warships.

Then we extended our parking time again and went to the Chinese buffet for lunch. They even had Red Thai Curry at the buffet... delicious.

Then we drove to Kiel. When we arrived, I had severe diarrhea and we were looking for a toilet. Finally, there was a public toilet wagon on the promenade... what a stroke of luck. The 'Mein Schiff 6' and the Aida were in the harbor. Such big ships. We walked around the city for a bit, but didn't find anything of interest. Liam wanted to go home slowly.

Someone then came up with the idea of going for coffee at the country inn from the set of 'Der Landarzt'. When we arrived, we found a swarm of cars fighting for one of the really few parking spaces. Narrow streets, oncoming traffic, reckless cyclists... Finally, we found a parking space and entered the inn. Inside, there were 5 or 6 tables... outside, a beer garden with a few folding tables. We arrived at 4pm and there was no more cake. Inside, there was a couple with a huge dog that barked at every dog that entered the dining room. Basically, it was barking non-stop, very loudly, making it impossible to have a peaceful coffee, and everyone present just shook their heads.
No cake, just barking dogs... we left again.

Straight home, to coffee and homemade Zopf bread... Liam was right all along.

Unfortunately, another round of arguments in the afternoon. I had to lie down on a bench outside for an hour, watch the sky, and relax.
