Malaysia - Johor Bahru, Singapore in sight

Опубликовано: 29.04.2018

By bus, we travel to the southernmost point of Malaysia to the border town of Johor Bahru. We move into a large apartment on the 37th floor of a newly completed skyscraper (Pinnacle Tower) which was finished two months ago. There are three bedrooms and the kids choose their 'own' rooms right away. They had to share a bed most of the time on the road and therefore constantly fought over it. The kids' backpacks are unpacked immediately and each child retreats to their 'kingdom' to play. We enjoy the view of the city, which extends all the way to Singapore. Only a bridge separates the emerging country of Malaysia from the 'clean' and highly developed Singapore. In Johor Bahru, we don't do much on our last two days of the trip. We prepare ourselves and our luggage for the journey home, have Asian food, see what JB, as the city is called by the locals, has to offer, and relax at the amazing infinity pool on the 7th floor with a playground for the kids. In the meantime, Ma is at one with the water and loves the coolness. Our kids are little water rats and have made great progress in the three months. Baby Le is becoming more mobile and crawls through the long living room. He could only dream of such freedom of movement in the standard family rooms. And we all look forward to our home, enough bathrooms, and a reasonable water pressure in the shower, a kitchen with a dishwasher, and our own bed.
