Glen and Denise were our hosts for the night and after a delicious breakfast, we set off along the Great Ocean Road towards Adelaide.
Our first stop, a recommendation from Glen, was the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery. We couldn't resist the sight that greeted us. Oh, how delicious, mhhhh, a sugar rush, but it had to be done.
In Lorne, we visited the Erskine Falls, 300 steps down and unfortunately up again, thank goodness we had enough energy. 🤪 But worth seeing. Then to Teddy's Lookout. Not quite as far to walk. In Kennett, we walked along the Kennett River Walk. A beautiful path through eucalyptus trees along a small river, and actually, in one of the trees, a koala was dozing in the tree. 😁
In the evening, we reached Apollo Bay, a nice town by the sea, but different than we expected. The cafes, restaurants, and bars close at 4 pm and by 9 pm, almost everything is closed. Australians like to be home early.🫣😳
