From Santa Marta to Medellin

Today we're taking a plane to Medellin at lunchtime.

We enjoy the delicious breakfast again and get some tips from Juan David Escobar at the reception. He is Colombian and married to a German woman and studied in Medellin.

Thankfully, he has nothing to do with Pablo Escobar.

Today the waves are pretty high again and there are lots of surfers on the water.

We are picked up again on time by Carlos, who takes us to the airport in Santa Marta.

The airport is right on the beach, so we check in and take a walk on the beach.

Our flight time to Medellin is just over an hour.

We take a taxi to the apartment we booked in El Poblado. Before it gets dark, we go to the supermarket to get the essentials and cook ourselves again today.

We still book our bus connections, 2 excursions and go to bed late by our standards.
