Our journey continues south... This time we took the train for 1.5 hours (for about 35 cents per person) to Hua Hin for 2 nights. As always, we consulted the Google Maps map and blindly tapped on the next destination. One night would probably have been enough here - a bit too noisy, crowded, and touristy for our taste... Well, we have time ;)
Sergey's thoughts: We heard in advance about the beauty and cleanliness of the beach in Hua Hin ... but it's rather polluted, built up by large hotel chains and all-inclusive resorts, and behind them are the pubs where overweight older Westerners pick up their young Thai women (or is it the other way around? You never know who needs it more ;))... embarrassing. Unfortunately, that's somehow part of it, but we still met great and nice people and found some beautiful corners here and there...
To escape the hustle and bustle, we simply grabbed a scooter and explored the surrounding area, which is really worth seeing. We like to drive outside of the Google Maps route to experience the local areas and people. That's where you meet the nicest people and get the best local food :).
Tomorrow we will continue, looking forward to the next stop... :)
