On Nike's recommendation, I'm taking the bus to Bol (on the other side of the island of Brac) today and taking the speedboat to the next island of Hvar in the evening, which I wanted to visit anyway. He will drive me to the ferry, where our paths will then separate.
Unfortunately, due to swimming a lot, I seem to have caught a cold, which is slowly making itself felt.
In Bol, there is the Golden Horn, one of Croatia's most popular beaches. I walk in that direction, but from a distance I can already see that the beach is full of people and I probably won't find a place to leave my luggage while I go swimming. I find a quieter spot in the shade, take a short swim and then take a nap, because unfortunately I'm not feeling well due to my cold.
The speedboat to Hvar leaves at 5:30 p.m. Although I have a personal hostel recommendation for Hvar, due to my cold, I long for a single room. When I arrive by ferry, I haven't booked anything yet, because Nike said that you can easily get a room for 100 Kuna (=13 Euro) in Hvar if you ask the locals. I try my luck, but quickly realize that this price is quite unrealistic in September in Hvar. I don't want to search for long, so I book an Airbnb, at least for only 25 euros, which I consider a great price. While reading the directions, I notice with horror that the Airbnb is in Stari Grad, 13 km away from the city of Hvar where I am currently located. I can't cancel anymore, so I have to take another bus ride to Stari Grad.
The host Ivana is super nice and welcomes me warmly. I'm looking forward to my own little apartment and I'm already falling asleep at half past nine.
