Whale Sharks Isla Mujeres

A little addendum to our first Mexico part....When we spent our time on Isla Mujeres at the beginning, we treated ourselves to a little highlight....Snorkeling with the largest fish in the world. At that time of the year, there are whale sharks in the area....Huge (up to 13m long) and peaceful....However, we had to wait for several days due to the weather before we could set sail....But the wait was worth it....And in the plankton-rich waters, there are also many manta rays....Indescribable when you swim with these giants in the water....They are completely unperturbed, swim directly towards you, and sometimes even touch you....Unique!!
