Day 41 - August 18: Half-day off at the thermal bath in Podhasjke

Originally, the destination for the day was planned to be the municipality in the district of Nove Zamky. But Pastor Michaela said that a stay there is hardly possible because the community is not set up for visits. Since I have been on the road for 40 days now, visiting a different community every day and my mind was full of numerous encounters and many conversations, I decided to take a half-day off at the thermal bath in Podhasjka to relax my body and soul. I thought the village would be a tranquil spa town. However, I encountered tens of thousands of bathers in the large outdoor pool and had to search for a spot in the thermal pool for a long time. How beautiful and quiet it was in Plave Vozokany the day before. At least my body could finally rest a bit after 40 days of daily and often strenuous cycling at over 30 degrees, even though my soul had to struggle with the noise of the tourist crowds in the outdoor pool. Fortunately, some peace and quiet settled in after 9 pm at the camping site right next door, where I had set up my tent. For a while, I pondered the differences and similarities in our community work and drifted off to sleep.
