The week went by so quickly. Today was my last full day in Toronto.
To wrap up, we visited the Distillery District in super nice weather. The site of a former whiskey distillery now offers numerous cafes, bars, and small boutiques...
From there, we headed back downtown to the St. Lawrence Market. On the recommendation of my guidebook, I treated myself to a bacon on a bun from Carousel Bakery. However, I didn't quite understand what was so special about it. It was a simple bun with fried ham, tasty but without a wow effect.
Afterwards, I strolled along Bay Street. This is where the headquarters of the banks are located. Combined with the wonderful sunshine, there were great photo opportunities.
In Eaton Center, I found my way to the Path. It is a network of over 30 km of countless shops that connects the city's major buildings underground, so you don't have to defy nature in icy cold weather. And even though it was very pleasant today, the Path was much busier than the aboveground streets.
After a very relaxed afternoon to allow my slightly sore feet to recover, Henni introduced us to Pakistani cuisine. The curries were super delicious. And on the way back, we had another great view of Toronto's skyline.
