Day 5 - Arrival

Break and arrive

Today, pack the backpack for the last time on this tour. Slip into the now patina-covered hiking attire. The legs bear witness to the strain of over 80km by now...

Arriving is the goal.

Arrived! Fulfilled. Happy. Full of joyful impressions. As if a blessing lay on the way.

Rain from noon. By now, all covers are quickly put on. The hiking trail hides again today. Paths indicated on the hiking map do not exist as such or we do not find them right away. Even hiking apps on the smartphone are not always "smart"; time estimates too optimistic. After a tour through bushes and over a barbed wire fence, finally at the Ramssattel. Wet and hungry. Lunch.

There are still several kilometers and elevation meters down- up to St. Corona am Wechsel. Maybe a taxi for a short intermediate stage? The rain never stops. Yes! From Kirchberg am Wechsel, we continue on foot again. Our St. Corona already within earshot!

At 3:30 p.m., we climb the last slopes up to St. Corona and into the village. The church is ours alone. The St. Corona on its depictions. The only open restaurant opposite the church. A very dear, truly old lady prepares coffee for us. And listens very respectfully to our Corona adventure. We thank and say goodbye to St. Corona am Wechsel, to our completed project and to the shared days in a godly nature.

There will be something that fulfills us again.
