Tag 32: Prainha

Yesterday morning we received a very positive message. Tatiana, a friend of a friend, wrote us a message on Facebook and offered us to stay with her and her family in Rio. We were naturally very happy about it, packed our things, checked out and went to the agreed meeting point. Tatiana, her husband Elder and their 9-year-old daughter Manu welcomed us warmly and made a room available for us in their apartment. After a shared dinner and getting to know each other, we went to bed happily in our new temporary beds.

This morning, Elder took us to a beautiful beach called 'Prainha', located a bit outside the city center. Equipped with lots of sunscreen, a beach umbrella, towels, and a cooler, we spent a wonderful Valentine's Day here. The beach is very popular among locals and surfers and far away from tourism. There is plenty of space, a beautiful view in front and a beautiful view behind, you are not bothered by sellers and can simply enjoy the day in the sunshine and the sound of the sea. It was more than enough for us.
