After a 14-hour bus ride (with a 1.5-hour delay) through a winter wonderland, I finally arrived in Prince George. There, I was greeted by my host family (Laurie, Sean, Nicole, Melanie, and John) and we drove home. You see, I don't actually live in Vanderhoof, it's about 30 minutes away (but the closest town). This morning, I was greeted by a delightful -28°C. After breakfast, Laurie and I fed and watered all the animals (4 dogs, 3 cats, 3 horses, 200 sheep, 30 cows, chickens). And all the animals live outside. Then we milked a cow. In the afternoon, we drove around a bit, took out the trash, and picked up a little rabbit. But here, it's exactly how you imagine Canada. Country music plays on the radio all day long, we have really thick steaks for dinner (I mean, they're much bigger. You'll be full afterwards), and there are huge pickups driving everywhere (everyone here has one or more, and they're really cool).
At the moment, I can't take too many photos because my hands freeze when I take off my gloves. Today, I only managed to take these 4. I'll try to take more photos when it's 10 degrees.
