Heyy,
today we had a sandwich for breakfast in the car because we had a busy morning.
We were picked up for our tour around 9 a.m. First, we went to the largest temple in Fiji, the Sri Siva Temple. There we got to learn more about the Hindu religion. Then we went to the 'Garden of the Sleeping Giant', which is a national park where you can see many types of orchids and tropical flowers. We went to a lookout point where we had a beautiful view of Nadi and the jungle. On the way back, I fell and completely scraped my knee because of my flip-flops and the rocky path. 😅
After that, we went to our favorite part of the tour, the mud pools and hot springs. First, we went mud-bathing and then soaked in the hot springs. After this program, Mareike and I were completely tired and even fell asleep in the car. 😅😴
At the last stop, a fruit market, our driver had to wake us up. We strolled through the market and bought pineapple and watermelon as a snack. 🍉🍍
After the excursion, our driver took us to McDonald's for lunch. 🍔
In the early afternoon, we ran into some 'old acquaintances' from the islands at our hotel, they were Germans again. 😅 We played 'Kava' and 'Bullshit' with them on the beach.
Later, Mareike and I went back to the city for a pedicure 😅. However, we paid about 14 euros for nothing to change except for the color of our toenails. 🤦🏼♀️ After that, we strolled around a bit and returned to the hostel in the evening.
There, we freshened up and went out to dinner with the others. We got some ice cream for dessert and then went back. After that, Mareike and I packed our bags, because tonight is our last evening here in Fiji, it's unbelievable how fast time flies. 🥺
Now we're going to end the evening with a beer and nice conversations. 😇
One last time... greetings from the Fiji Islands! 🇫🇯
Yours Jojo! 💫
