The Big Things of Australia

Normally we would end our time in a country with a report on the local cuisine. But since you all probably know the famous Fish and Chips, and what a Pie and a Sunday roast look like, we thought we would introduce you to another phenomenon that we encountered on our journey through Australia.

The so-called Big Things.

A few decades ago, people in remote villages came up with something to give road trippers a good reason for a short detour... Tadaaa! Big Things! Mostly just some things related to the environment. The trashier, the better. Some have fallen apart over time, others are still being maintained.

On our road trip, we tried to see some of the Big Things. And we did so by following the Wikipedia list, although not all of them meet the criteria mentioned above.
