We continued from Wellington to Cape Palliser. There was a proper lighthouse there. But you had to climb almost 300 steps to get to the top. The view was wonderful, you could even see a bit of the South Island, even though you were on the verge of an asthma attack. There was also a seal colony again, but after 431 seals, you weren't quite as thrilled.
We then went to the Pinnacles (Fun fact 3579: Filming location for Lord of the Rings -> the road to Dimholdt, in case you can't remember, you should definitely watch the movies again).
As New Zealand always has very imaginative ideas of well-marked hiking trails, this one followed a riverbed. Without any markings. After what felt like an eternity, we found the Pinnacles. It was probably one of the most athletic days in ages.
