Blue sky can be seen through the skylight again. We're really lucky with the weather. The first few days were cool and windy, but now we have fantastic summer weather.

In the morning after buying baguettes at the beach... deserted.

Dogs are now banned from the beach, which means the beach is even emptier than usual.

After breakfast (which is usually around noon), we get back on our bikes to go to Le Bois-Plage-en-Re today.

Hey, there's a market here too 😂

What can I say, another charming place here on the island.

Again, a cute town center with typical white houses and colorful shutters.

The beach here is long and beautifully stunning again.

We return through beautiful fields of cornflowers.

It's pretty hot and humid here today.

Once again, we're amazed by the non-existent waves in the Atlantic.

We had always heard of meter-high waves, but haven't seen any yet.

Tonight, we're going to have dinner in a French restaurant for our grand finale. The "La Balaou". It's not really easy with a French menu and our rudimentary knowledge of French.

Our waitress, who speaks a few words of English, is almost despairing.

The food, on the other hand, is excellent, truly top-notch. We have grilled asparagus with grapefruit and some kind of fish eggs, fillet steak with Pomme Anna, and for dessert, rhubarb with gratinee, mousse, and pomegranate seeds, and Jürgen has chocolate ganache with passion fruit.

We're almost bursting, but it was delicious. It looks like a storm is approaching on the beach.

Fortunately, everything passes us by, so we get to see a beautiful sunset.
