The last day had come - it was time to say goodbye. Our house by the lake was super beautiful, the weather wasn't perfect, but we were very relaxed.
We still had some activities planned for the last leg. The first stop was a coincidence. Suddenly, the sign for the Elk Park appeared along the route. And it truly was a beautiful park. The moose were very curious, came to the fence, sniffed, and allowed themselves to be petted and fed. Quite damp, that moose fur 🤣. And the antlers were velvety.
Nicely, they also had some moose souvenirs for sale at the exit.
The next stop was our actual destination for today - Älmhult: The birthplace of Ikea. The Ikea museum was nice, but a few more pieces of information would have been great. What was the first Ikea product? The background of Ingvar Kamprad? There were only pretty superficial details. But then there was delicious Swedish food 😂.
Since we had unexpectedly squeezed in the elk park, there was hardly any time left for Malmö. But we had already seen several churches, castles, market halls, and town halls on our journey, all worth seeing and great, but unanimously we chose the moose over them.
However, we made a detour in Malmö to the Öresund Bridge and the residential high-rise 'Turning Torso'. Professional interest 😅.
Then it was definitely time to say goodbye, the last ferry was waiting for us. The passage under the Öresund Bridge was also worth seeing at night, and afterwards, we had a calm Baltic Sea crossing.
