32. Side (Turkey)

After months of planning, the day of the surprise visit has finally arrived!

But then it starts - with the best support from the guest manager Bariş, we suddenly find ourselves in front of the hotel room door!

Regine and Knuth can't really believe it, we are all very happy, a few tears flow and we spend a wonderful evening together!

The next day we recover in our apartment from the joyful reunion and take the chance to eat 'Gasthaus Fritz' rouladen (plus a currywurst afterwards for Ronny) after more than 4 months!

Now that we have recovered, we all take a trip to the beautiful Side and are truly surprised and impressed by this amazing city!

In front of the picturesque old town lies the ancient Side with Roman buildings from the 2nd century AD.

Excavations are still taking place to this day and the entire city, including the market square and Roman theater, has been uncovered.

We spend our last day together with a day ticket at Ronny's parents' hotel - Regine has her birthday today and we definitely want to be there!

The next day, the two of them fly back home and we head towards Anamur - there, a beach hut and two hungry kittens are waiting for us!

We are happy that the surprise was successful and that we could spend a few beautiful days together. Take care and thank you for everything! 😘

Finally, after more than 4 months, we actually went to the workshop for the first time! The handbrake had snapped... but after 30 minutes and 10 euros, everything is working perfectly again!
