The reintegration into T 5 Orange begins today. The weather is good, around 20°, the tank is more than half full and we are wearing sunglasses. Once across the Istrian peninsula we head towards Moscenicka Draga. A nice little campsite was recommended by the platform.
Luckily he was already associated with a German clan from Fulda. The beach area in the town was very, very nice. This entire area up to our later camping site in Opatija is known for its freshwater springs, which often come to the surface near the beach and then flow into the sea. When you swim in the sea you can feel the cold water on the surface.
After a good night at the campsite in Opatija, which was only partially occupied, we set off for Rijka. Croatia's third largest city on the Kvan Bay has certainly seen better times. The buildings from the time of the Habsburg Empire are crumbling majestically but morbidly. Hungary and Austria still have free ports here and almost all of Croatia's maritime trade takes place here.
We don't find an inviting café, only the impressive midday remains of a fish, vegetable and flower market near the harbor.
