Viewpoint tour
Today I joined a few other people on the peninsula tour.
After breakfast, we got ready and met our tour guide JP to start. In a small bus, we traveled along the coastline and stopped at different viewpoints.
First, we visited a beach where there weren't many people due to the cloudy weather.
Next, we went to a bay viewpoint and then headed towards the Cape of Good Hope. We walked for quite a while to the southernmost point of South Africa.
The view was amazing, and there was a beach that I really wanted to go to, but we didn't have much time.
Then we went to the Cape of Good Hope, which was just another point at the bay and not that special.
Next, we visited the penguin beach, which is actually a beach with penguins. We had to pay for entry, but it was worth it. The beach was really awesome with lots of rocks and little hiding spots. Penguins were everywhere, completely uninterested in people taking pictures of them.
We climbed and walked around a bit, regretting that we didn't bring our swimsuits.
I gave my ticket to another person who had just arrived since we had only been there for about 30 minutes.
JP had bought us some sandwiches and little snacks, but they were too healthy to be tasty. However, we were hungry, so we still ate them.
Then we drove to our next stop, a botanical garden. It was nice, but I have been to so many of those gardens during my travels that after a while, all the plants start to look the same.
After that, we drove back to the hostel. We said goodbye to JP and quickly went to buy some groceries.
We rested for a while before going to dinner with some other people. Tonight, we had African food.
It was a really nice place, and the food was great. After dinner, we returned to the hostel to get ready for bed.
