The three weeks had passed too quickly and our last full day in Brazil had begun. After breakfast, we took three small buses down to the harbor and at 9:00 a.m. we started our full-day trip on the sea with the ship 'Mordomia'. After about 1 1/2 hours of sailing, where we indulged in delicious fruits, comfortable sunbeds, and typical Brazilian music, we arrived at our first destination, an island with a beautiful bathing bay. We spent the next two hours there. A sunbed under palm trees, pleasantly warm seawater, and a rental for stand-up paddleboarding kept us entertained, and too quickly we were back on the 'Mordomia' again. However, we continued directly to the next beach. Since the water near this part of the island was not particularly deep, we had to stop a bit further out and switch to small motor boats, which then took us to the island and to a very delicious buffet. The water here was incredibly clear and many waded out as far as they could stand. In addition to comfortable hammocks that were set up, an ice cream vendor, and the inviting sea, you could also spend your time riding along the beach on horseback. After another two-hour stay and some group photos later, we made our way back. We arrived at the port of Salvador around 5:30 p.m. Finally, we sang 'Viva la vida' at sunset and then made our way back to the Pousada.
After everyone had refreshed themselves, we met for a short rehearsal before heading to our final concert. Several rows of chairs had been set up in the courtyard of the Pousada, which gradually filled up with guests, including Mr. Bönisch's choir. With a short but diverse program, we entertained the people in a small circle for about three-quarters of an hour. The highlight was the finale, when Germans and Brazilians faced each other and sang their respective national anthems! Our final concert was a great success and was rewarded with a lot of applause. After the singing, there were delicious snacks and drinks for choir singers and guests. It was a wonderful conclusion to the last day and a successful end to our trip to Brazil!
