After a rather bumpy landing, we quickly realize: it's cold here! But also pleasantly fresh air. The fishing town essentially focuses on a long main street where most of the restaurants and shops are located. Our hotel is at the beginning of it, so we should walk through the street countless times. 😃
The next day, our guided tour with a 4x4 all-wheel drive Jeep is a lot of fun, especially off-road! We enjoy the beautiful landscape, delicious food, and cuddling with the huskies. On the last day, it finally happens: we go to the "End of the World." About 1,000 km away from Antarctica, the southernmost road ends with a great view. In general, we can say that we have seen a great combination of water, forest, and snow-covered mountains everywhere. Shortly after, we learn that our tour to see the penguins had to be canceled due to the wind, so unfortunately, we have to leave without this highlight. As compensation, we treat ourselves to an extremely delicious Meduza Negra, a local fish. Despite having to forego the penguins, it was a very nice stay.
