23/10 - East Coast Park

Publicados: 29.10.2016

On Sunday morning, I met Tracey early in the East Coast Park to escape the midday heat. Our plan was to ride bicycles along the coast for two hours.

The long journey there was definitely worth it! The East Coast Park is a great place to be. I was pleasantly surprised that there were so few people there, but well...most locals are just lazy, I have noticed that several times by now.

In between, we took a short break at the beach.

And then we went to a Green-Point restaurant for lunch. We both discovered it by chance and were overjoyed to finally find healthy 'local food' ;-)

In the afternoon, I went to a café in the city center. In Singapore, there is a community called Tête-à-Tête that organizes a monthly meeting for language enthusiasts. There are different tables for each language and you spend an afternoon together. The only rule: no English!

After digging up my Spanish skills for 1.5 hours, I finally joined the German learners. They are a very nice group who meet weekly at the 'Würstles-Stand' in Chinatown (no, I didn't make a typo) and all speak really good German.
