Hello everyone,
In addition to the great view from our apartment, we also had the opportunity to enjoy the skyline of Kuala Lumpur (KL) from an infinity pool on the 37th floor. We also planned a sightseeing trip in KL. We took the metro to the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur, the Mosque Jamek, and then to the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, where a big parade had taken place the day before. At the Central Market, we were able to feed fish after breakfast. We put our feet in a doctor fish tank, where they nibbled on us, which tickled a lot. Their food was accompanied by constant giggling :P. Through numerous street markets, we reached the old main train station, which was very impressive with its individual towers. We started a city tour with the free pink city buses, which we interrupted for a delicious lunch in an Arabian restaurant for less than €3 including drinks. At the next spot, the Tower, we went over 300 meters high with a breathtaking view. We could even see the bathers at our infinity pool taking photos through the telescopes. The next stop was the Petronas Twin Towers, the landmark of Kuala Lumpur, from which we started the long journey back home on foot. However, this was sweetened by a freshly prepared burger on the roadside for only 56 cents. After cooling off in the pool after the hot day, we continued to the Broadway of KL with lots of crowds, street musicians, and loudly screaming restaurant staff. After a short night, we took a morning bath and visited the Batu Caves. This is a Hindu temple complex in the middle of a huge limestone cave. The ascent was a great effort in the high temperatures and with what felt like 1000 stairs. That was the last point on our list of Kuala Lumpur, now we are taking the bus to the Cameron Highlights, which offer us some coolness with their lower temperatures.
See you,
Malia
