After a relaxed first flight, including watching Star Wars Episode V (greetings to my brothers and Justus) as entertainment, I landed in Beijing around 9:30 PM (German time). The airport here is unbelievably huge, so it took another 40 minutes to get to the actual airport building. By the way, it's currently a chilly -4 degrees here!!!

While the security check in Dusseldorf was the fastest one I've ever experienced, the one here in Beijing was by far the longest. Since it was only 5:30 AM local time, only one conveyor belt was in operation and the airport staff seemed particularly interested in my new power bank... even though it said "Made in China" on it? 🤨😄

After a total of three hours, I finally found a seat where I could spend "the night".
