Today, we went back to Tokyo for the final day. After 3 hours on the Shinkansen, we arrived in Ryogoku, the Sumo district. Our hotel is right in the middle of it all. We saw the Yokozuna at the train station and I was filled with anticipation for the Sumo Museum. Unfortunately, it was closed starting today. Luckily, right next to Ryogoku Station is Edo Noren, where you can admire a real Sumo ring. It is completely made of clay. There are also several restaurants around that offer the typical calorie-rich hot pot dish, Chankonabe. We decided not to eat it. Thanks to a flyer, we ended up at the nearby Hokusai Museum. Today was Purple Day there. After the lady said it about 20 times, we finally understood what she meant. My skirt was purple, and in her eyes, Basti's Barça shirt was too, so we both got a 20% discount on the entrance fee. Great! Now we are enjoying the amazing view from our room on the 22nd floor of Tokyo at night.
