For the next 5 weeks, I am allowed to conduct research at Université Laval and exchange ideas with other scientists. The campus is a huge area. From the bus stop 'Laval Université', it is still over a kilometer walk until I reach the correct building. If it rains, you can also do this in the underground tunnel system.
I am proud, it is a wooden building. It is the only wooden school building on the campus and also looks very chic. The other school buildings have a clear concrete character, which is not really impressive architecturally for me. But the rugby stadium and a passage in the sports center are also made of wood and worth seeing for wooden lovers. The campus is very very very extensive. Personally, I have never seen such a large campus in comparison to others I have visited, such as Harvard in Boston, Yale in New Haven, or Humboldt in Berlin.
The wooden area where I am working here includes all areas from forestry, cutting, sawmill, wood products, wood chemistry, and wood engineering and is structured similar to Bern University of Applied Sciences.
