Today we are going to Abel Tasman National Park.
The starting point is Kaiteriteri, which is only 15 minutes away from my accommodation. Quickly bought the day ticket for the water taxi and the ride starts at 9 o'clock.
Past the Split Apple Rock, individual beaches are approached in the direction of the north, where visitors start their respective sections of the Abel Tasman Coast Track.
At 11 o'clock we are at the starting point of my hike: Awaroa. From here, we constantly go south, initially through the inland, before reaching the campsite on the beach of Onetahuti.
Now we continue to Tonga Quary and then over a slightly steeper profile to Bark Bay.
Now it's just a short distance to Medlands Beach, where I will be picked up by the water taxi at 3:30 pm. The section of the route has a total length of 8.8 km. I will be back in Kaiteriteri around 4:30 pm, from where we will return to Motueka.
