Since we had only planned a short stay at the waterfalls, two days later we continued directly to Bolivia. Although the distance was not that far, it is not that easy to fly quickly to another country in South America by airplane. We had to change planes twice and were on the go all day. But I had the most beautiful flight of my life! For the last of the three flights, we flew with a small propeller plane that only had space for 35 people. While Jonas managed to get the middle seat in the last row (which we had never experienced before), I sat next to a nice woman who had a super cute little puppy in a box on her lap. The little one and I became friends right away and he was even allowed to sit on my lap for the whole flight. As a thank you for my one-hour petting offer, the little one decided to puke on my lap =)
My ideas and nightmares about a dangerous and unsafe South America were thrown overboard in Bolivia. We arrived in Sucre, the capital of Bolivia, and I could hardly believe my eyes. A beautiful city, a great ambiance, a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, warm weather, and friendly people. And once again, Jonas was right: I would love it!!!
Here, there was everything that I often missed in Asia. We relaxed a bit and took a leisurely tour of the city. We climbed a hill from which we had a great view of the city. At this point, we don't need to mention the ugly, trash-filled little church ^^
The food here was also super delicious and there were countless small restaurants, just the way we like them. We each bought a hat and a thick sweater, after all, we were going to the mountains in the next few days, where it was supposed to be extremely cold at night... !!!
