Flight to Cairns

19.07.2018, a very sunny day in Hamburg and for me, the last day in Germany this year. 

My brother, my mother, her partner, and his son accompanied me to the airport. We checked in the luggage, had something to eat, and I couldn't wait to move towards the security control and finally start my adventure. Of course, saying goodbye was a bit difficult, but I was too excited to be sad. 

From Hamburg, I went to Munich. In Munich, I was supposed to take the flight to Singapore an hour later - that was the first obstacle, even before my journey began. My flight was delayed by an hour.. Fortunately, I was able to take an earlier flight and everything went smoothly. 

After eleven hours in a cramped space (Lufthansa is not recommended for long-haul flights!), I finally arrived in Singapore. My layover was a little over eight hours... 

Since I missed the free city tour, I just stayed at the airport. There are two cinemas, many dining options, and the Sunflower Garden where you can watch the planes take off and land. 

At one o'clock in the morning, I was on my way to the final security check! During the waiting time, I already met the first traveler. An Indian on his way to Brisbane. I was super tired and could barely string two sentences together, but I already knew - this trip will be great! 

At 10 am (local time in Cairns), I finally landed. Exhausted to the exit and finally heading to the hostel - just take a deep breath and enjoy the warm air, that was my new world!
