Deserved relaxation 09/04

Publicados: 04.09.2019

Sleeping until 11, a new record for Anne.

Tasty instant coffee. "You want sugar" no thanks. Coffee already tasted like pure sugar.

While doing laundry in the shower, a giant centipede suddenly falls in front of the feet - yuck.

On the way to the village center, having real coffee again. Bought papaya and bananas for 70 cents.

While walking in the pouring rain (we now have cool pink rain ponchos) we discovered a super cute café.

Did some shopping for pretty things (the airline will be charged for it). Ate mega delicious hummus.

Took a nice beach walk. Played wave catching.

At the end of the day, we are treating ourselves to a drink in a way too noisy techno bar, but with a beautiful view of the sea.

Accommodation for tomorrow is booked, we are heading to Arambol, north of our current location.

In general: you can tell that it's not peak travel season. It's very quiet but you still get an impression of Indian life. Besides us, the maximum number of "fair-skinned" tourists we found was 10. The streets are relatively dirty. The sellers follow you both in the supermarket and in the Indian tourist stalls. Overall, the people are very friendly. Unfortunately, neither our hair nor our washed clothes are drying. We now each own 3 shirts, 2 unnecessary sweaters, 1 pair of shorts & 2 pairs of underwear. Our new fancy flip-flops are the perfect walking shoes. The sales arguments "waterproof, good looking, comfortable & best price" are so true. (Irony)
