First, things turn out differently than you think!
After the stay in Stockholm, the plan was originally to continue traveling through Sweden with a short detour to Norway and ending in Denmark. But....
First of all, the altitude in Finland really took a toll on us, as if the Finnish mountain trolls on the roadside wanted to say to us 'Psst, this is just a taste, Sweden has even higher and longer climbs - you'll never make it!' And secondly, we have to clearly state that there is still a lot of travel left at the end of the money :) Scandinavia is expensive, that's clear. But we didn't expect the prices to be so high in the Baltics, both for groceries and for some leisure activities on the side.
Therefore, we quickly replanned the end of the trip and now reward ourselves with two weeks on Gotland - the sun island of Sweden. Why Gotland?
The island has the most sun hours in Sweden every year. 800 kilometers of coastline, the original Villa Villekulla from Pippi is located in Visby, and old city walls, medieval castles, and other historically interesting places are waiting to be explored.
So we will drive from Stockholm to Nynäshamn, from where the ferry will depart on June 15th and we will meet each other in Gotland - it is a good decision!
