Good parking spaces can be found quickly in Skipton. Not far from the canal harbour, we park in a paid parking lot.

We immediately like the city. Especially the harbour with the different narrowboats is worth seeing. The boats range from very modern to hippie boats, many of which can also be rented. They are fully equipped and you can sail around the canals and go on vacation with them.

The mood in England is very somber. Queen Elizabeth II has passed away and the entire kingdom is very sad, all flags are at half-mast and the shops are closed on the day of the funeral. Everyone gets an additional day off for this reason.
