How quickly the days have passed, without thoughts of the future, sometimes reminiscing about the past, but always in the here and now.
Somewhere in nowhere and yet feeling like being everywhere.
How simple and light life can be.
Sure, you have to make an effort and break your routine, but once you've done it just once, you become addicted, addicted to variety, addicted to people, addicted to living life.
Everyone wishes for something different from the daily grind and hopes to regain the missing freedom through “retirement.”
However, you can breathe so much life into your everyday routine.
On my “journey to myself,” I not only perceived nature with new eyes, but also the people, no matter how different “we” are. Old and young, rich and perfectly ordinary, sociable and eloquent as well as reserved and introspective. I met them all and approached everyone with respect and childlike curiosity. And I always found it so refreshing to listen to their stories.
There were really many stories. Looking back, the men always poured their entire life stories out onto me. I endured it, listened patiently, but in the end... I could always continue my journey. And that was a good thing. At least for me. How they felt? I had the impression they were left alone with their fate and felt lonely. Still searching.
But just like shopping, those who search will find nothing.
Only those who stay centered remain in balance and do not seek their happiness in others.
When I returned home, my neighbors, who I've known for 30 years now, gave me a warm welcome with a hearty beer, schnitzel, and potato salad.😍
And because vacation and all the things I got to experience there are so wonderful, I even pitched my tent in the garden, gaze at the stars in the evening ✨ and set my sights on my next goals filled with gratitude and confidence.🙏🏼
