After being woken up by the sound of the sea early this morning, we continued, strengthened and, well, let's say more or less rested.

Next destination: Wilson Promontory National Park. A very, very popular national park among Australians - in the evening we should know why. We drove for almost 2 hours and even the drive there was exciting. The coast was always on the right, with beaches as far as the eye could see, turquoise blue water and cliffs in the background. On the left, countless eucalyptus trees and stones as round as balls. When we arrived at the campground, a huge but well-organized network of pitches awaited us. We could choose one and parked directly behind the dune with the sound of the sea.

The beach was quickly found and it was just WOW. Wider than wide. Waves, water and sun!

In the evening, we took another walk to explore the surroundings. Wilson Prom is a great spot for wombats! So we want to see some too!

What started off rather hesitantly mainly picked up momentum at dusk and darkness. Here a wombat, there a wombat, quickly secure some food and take out the phone to snap pictures... you could see them everywhere now, without having to move an inch.

And even though we could only explore a little, we can imagine why this national park is so popular.

Tomorrow we will continue... let's see what exciting things we encounter.
