After the first night at our new host families, we all met at 10 am for a Welcome Brunch in the cafeteria of South Burlington Highschool.
After everyone briefly introduced themselves, there was delicious food organized by the host families. When there were no more tasty bagels, pizzas, and Co., we said goodbye until the afternoon. We now had the first few hours to spend time with our host family before meeting at 4 pm on a farm. All students were driven to a pumpkin field on a tractor trailer and picked a nice pumpkin there. While we hollowed out the pumpkins and carved faces, a big meal was being prepared. It consisted of burgers and hotdogs. After that, we wandered through a corn maze before being picked up at 8 pm to end the evening comfortably.
