no shells for Michelle.. :(

Today we went from Obstgarte towards Kotor, publicly with the bus, the Blue Line.. nice along the water ;) The bus drivers are accordingly.. where it was already narrow for us yesterday with Johann, they just zoom through the narrow streets.. Oncoming traffic, another tour bus.. no problem ;) And while we're driving, we're collecting money, we can do it all, we're multitasking capable.. and the cash register they have.. divine ;) I only know those from my former toy store ;)

Well, anyway, we got off the bus in Perast for the first time on the way from Kotor, a mini place in front of the 2 mini islands. Of course, you can visit them with the boat with 100 different eager boat captains.. who surely all dutifully declare that they are taking you over there with their mini fishing boat.. mhm.. We chose Sascha ;) A very nice, burly Montenegrin who acts like a gondolier, of course not without looking at his phone, of course... multitasking ;) This boat trip was also beautiful for me, nice weather and about 3 minutes drive, always with a nice view of the land :) The island itself was very unspectacular, traffic jam at the entrance to the mini church.. and nothing else to see.. well, but we took some nice photos. And then we went back with Sascha. He made an extra loop for us for some great photos of the Mönsch Island as we call it, even though there are no monks anymore, it is probably private. Sascha had an animated conversation with Markus about his backpack.. he recognized almost all the crests, and was very interested, a very nice Montenegrin ;)

Then we strolled along the sea a bit more. Cute here, and not so crowded.. and here my friend Eva got her marriage proposal, I found out when I sent her photos from exactly here.. the first ones on the trip, what a coincidence :) Very romantic Mr. Faber, well done :)

Then I discovered a small local place, where hardly anything was going on, right by the sea and there were cheap mussels... mmmhhhhmmm.. I'm already hungry.. but Markus is restless again.. better keep looking and come back later, who knows if we'll run out of time, it's already almost 12, so late! ;) So check the bus; when we got off, we learned how to do it, a woman just waved.. in the middle of nowhere.. all right, we can do that too ;) Wave, bus stops.. perfect :) Quickly jump in, there's oncoming traffic again on the mini road, don't know where to stand so the bus has space to pull over on the right.. and then collect money again while driving.. we're already familiar with that ;)

Then all the way back to Kotor. Well, what can I say? Kotor is nice, beautiful old town, not so winding, we like it. Of course many people, of course, but very nice porcelain and lamps.. and cats, everywhere on the streets and on the merchandise items, I cuddled intensively with one of them during our picnic on the way up to the fortress.. but the lady from the souvenir shop wouldn't tell us the story until she wrapped up our purchase.. mhm.. then I don't want to buy anything. So we still have to google what's up with Kotor and the cats. The fortress was cool too. Went steep uphill again... and long, but we can do it, past all the flip flop tourists and up to the duck face selfie photographers.. God.. how much I would have liked to take a photo of that couple: both photographing themselves, with their backs to the view, her in a bikini, him shirtless with a stupid glacier glasses... posing... divine. The view is definitely cool. Behind the fortress is a small abandoned place, only stone remains, and a small chapel. Looks cool. From here we go down another way, we speculate that the small path from the village probably leads to the town, and soon we notice that some people are coming up here sporadically, so we could have saved the 3 euros ;) But it doesn't matter, it's really beautiful. On the way down we pass a supposed bar, here on the other way, people sell cold drinks every few meters from their plastic bags, so it could be possible, but unfortunately.. all deserted, quite run down, empty bottles are still there but otherwise.. only the persistent regulars are still holding their ground here.. with the best view ;)

So now down, have a beer in a nice pub in a quiet alley.. ok, it turned out to be 2 beers, but it was very nice and entertaining to watch who passes by and takes photos.. And then we want to catch the bus again and go to my mussels in Presar... Hopefully the neighbors from Obstgarten told us the right time.. he's not here yet.. maybe a bit late.. but then; suddenly no more traffic, only children with scooters, bicycles and pedestrians on the street!? huh?? we ask ourselves a bit, most seem to have no idea what's going on or can't explain it.. Eventually we meet 2 people who ask us if we enjoy the great Car-Free hour.. well.. they explain to us that they organized it, really great, they fight for a Car-Free day.. well.. does that really make a difference? We kill some time and go both directions behind the barrier.. almost no one switches off the car here, people are all super annoyed, the air is accordingly and I don't want to know how many accidents happen in this chaos. But it gets really bad when the traffic starts again. It's congested throughout the city and stinks of exhaust fumes! Terrible, really unpleasant.. I doubt that the Car-Free hour was a success! And the bus.. of course not to be seen in the traffic chaos. Several are waiting.. so at least we're at the right place.. eventually a bus picks us up, it's not ours, but he says he stops there.. I think it's more of a tour bus with a group that just stops there. because they feel sorry for us ;) And collect money while driving again... of course, why should they change that in this chaos ;) It's already dark now.. we want to go home.. and even though the bus stops in Perast.. we don't feel like looking for another bus later.. So unfortunately my mussels fall into the water or stay there :(
