Hi guys,
by by Chicago 😔 hello Sioux Falls 🤗. Sioux Falles was more of a stopover before Keystone. The only interesting thing there is the small park with a waterfall. After a long bus ride, it's just right for cooling off and moving around.
On 10.06 we drove to Keystone. On the way there, you have to cross the 'Badlands' National Park. The landscape is absolutely impressive, that's why the whole Contiki Family had a picnic. Lying in the grass with food and drink and enjoying the view, what could be better. It gets better, though, with a karaoke bar in Keystone in the evening.
The next morning started early and tough, but the little aches and pains were forgotten when we saw the 'Crazy Horse Memorial'. Since we were sitting on the bus all day, the next activity was perfect for waking up our tired feet. We hiked for 02:30 hours in Buffalonationalpark. And then to rest again, we had a huge BBQ by a lake (I forgot the name, sorry). The last activity was 'Mount Rushmore'. The famous mountain with the four most important presidents of America. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
On 12.06 we went to Cody, on the way there we made a stop at a small brewery, outside of the hustle and bustle, to be precise somewhere in nowhere. But that didn't matter, because the beer, the location, and the atmosphere were just perfect for resting. The day was rounded off by a rodeo in Cody. The rodeo was actually secondary because the sunset was incredibly beautiful.
Best regards, your Egger girls
