Prague, then once again.

ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ: 09.05.2023

Early this morning at six o'clock, there was commotion in the square. Construction workers appeared and started up their excavator. Shortly after, a truck arrived and dumped a load of sand. And at half past six, the first children came to the playground, which was right behind my tent.

Long story short, the cold night was over.

Shower, pack up everything, and start without breakfast. It was too cold for me.

Then I continued towards the southeast towards the compass. On beautiful narrow roads with very little traffic through the beautiful Erzgebirge.

There was the first border crossing, thanks to the Schengen Agreement, it is almost noticed only casually. That's a great thing, borderless travel.

In the Czech Republic, I then felt a little hungry. So I went to the first Lidl, bought a little and continued to a great place with a bench and table by a small fish pond.

Now it was not just breakfast anymore, but more like a lunch meal.

I continued, past many huge rapeseed fields. Always towards the southeast with rising temperatures. The traffic became denser, the landscape became more urban. I was just wondering what kind of city it was, the sign "Prague" informed me. I didn't expect that at all, I assumed that I had already passed Prague to the east, you can be mistaken. 😅

I only had 180 km on the clock, but on my last trip, I liked the campsite so much that I decided to drive there. And since I didn't feel like freezing, I rented a small hut. Probably unnecessary, as there were already summer temperatures of up to 25 degrees here.

After I settled in, I took the tram to the old town. It's not really fun with all the tourist crowds. But, since I'm forgetful and find bricklayer's cleavage extremely repellent, I had to buy a belt at H&M, mine is safely and dryly in Lohne.

And again this year I came across a bride and groom walking by, what does that tell me??

After a little more strolling, I returned to the campsite, enjoyed dinner and a beer, and called it a day.

I've entered Alba Iulia in Romania into the navigation for tomorrow. The place where I will meet Veronika on May 15. Veronika has been taking care of orphanages in Romania for decades. So she doesn't have to travel alone, I agreed to accompany her. We will take a ten-day road trip with a rental car before she flies back home and I continue towards Moldova.
