65. Nungwi (Zanzibar, Tanzania)

At the end of our Zanzibar adventure, we head to the north of the island to Nungwi!

Nungwi was a small fishing village, but it has become very popular among tourists and there are several resorts, bars, and restaurants on the beach.

The beach is beautiful and the small village behind it consists of mud houses and a maze of rocky paths.

The contrast is striking - on the beach, there are the resorts and tourists in bars and restaurants, while in the village, there is the everyday life of the locals in their simple huts. We stand out here, naturally attracting attention and being observed, and the children wave to us happily! We feel very comfortable here and would have liked to stay a bit longer!

We also enjoy the days on the beach before we continue to the mainland of Tanzania!
