Au pairs can also speak English!!

Today was a tiring day. Izzy had ukulele lessons before school. But since we left a little late (thanks to the dear children and the dear storm) and the highway was also congested, we were a little late. Well, never mind. First I met up with the other au pairs whose children also go to the same school, and then we went together to Cake and Conversation. Today there were more of us than ever before and it was really fun.
Why au pairs can speak English. Well, that's how it is. Actually, I mainly deal with German au pairs, so we usually speak German to each other. But today I met a girl from France. She is really nice and of course we have to speak English with her because she doesn't understand German. Strange but definitely an advantage. ^^
The three of us then marched into HSBC Bank to open a bank account. Everything went great. (It seemed easier to me than in Germany :D but maybe I'm mistaken there)
Here it was confirmed again how nice and polite all the English people are. Even when driving. Where we Germans just drive, the English wait for us or make space for us. A little unusual but totally great :D
