MACHE das Beste aus dem längsten Sommer Deines Lebens. ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ: 23.01.2020
I landed in Singapore a few hours ago and I thought I would take the time to write a new blog post.
Yesterday, I had to say goodbye to everyone, but I couldn't quite realize that I won't see my family and friends for a whole six months. I still can't believe it now.
The flight went well, except for a few turbulence moments. I slept for 7 1/2 hours, had Thai food for dinner, and apple crepe with berry compote for breakfast (everything tasted very good).
I have a 5-hour layover in Singapore before heading to Auckland within 10 hours. Once I arrive there, I have to go through customs and I'm afraid because I'm not sure if I can handle opening my suitcase alone. My school coordinator will pick me up at the airport and we will drive 1 1/2 hours to Thames. He will also take me to my host family. I am lucky to live very close to the school and across from the sea.
Since New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere, it is summer there. And when I return to Germany, it will be summer there too. That means I will have summer almost all year round. I think this will probably be the longest summer of my life.
And with these words, I say goodbye.
Soon, I will be on the other side of the world and I'm really looking forward to it, but of course, I will miss my family and friends terribly, which I already do. :-(
See you soon,
Lena
