I am currently in my fourth week of summer camp! Crazy how fast the weeks just go by..

This weekend we did something together as students since it's so hard to do anything together right now. :/ Saturday night was one of our last times together, since most of us will be leaving after the summer camps and after graduation. Due to the fact that we all work on different areas during the camps, we only see each other during meals if at all. 😕

So on Saturday we got together and we went to an advisor family where we had a nice evening with dinner together. 🍝 Each student cooked something at their advisor’s house and then brought it to the meeting in the evening.

Every Monday morning there is a breakfast ride where the kids can sign up for beforehand. 🏇🏻Once you have ridden for a while, there is a delicious breakfast and the kids can make stick bread. Meanwhile, there is a little devotion to think about. 📖

Anyway, after that it's back to the ranch for me, because there are several camps running at the same time. There is the regular summer camp offered, then there are day camps where the kids are picked up again every evening and also a wilderness camp and another camp called 'Marker Madness'.

I was at the wilderness camp today, which is just for the girls this week. There the girls learn how to tie knots, build shelters or learn how to throw axes properly and safely. Small craft times around the campfire are always appreciated as well. 🔥 This camp is off the ranch.

Tomorrow I will be filming the regular summer camp at the ranch again, plus I always do interviews of the kids on Tuesdays for the video at the end of the week. 🎥

By the way, I also have other tasks. Sometimes uploading news and photos to the ranch website or answering people's questions in Messenger.📱

Today, very early in the morning, 'Erie News' was here. Sort of the press of the next biggest town here. They also wrote an article about us. It's in English, but you can give it a try.

After this week we have two more weeks of summer camps. Then a three-day camp for the younger kids and a family camp in August. As you can see there is always something going on here. 😉

For example, employees found a small bird and wanted to nurse it back to health. Unfortunately, the little one didn't make it and passed away. 🥺

Now something about the weather. Unfortunately, we often have rain up here, which makes it a bit difficult with the video shoot. But I do not want to complain now... Have already heard what was going on in Germany the last few days. 🌊 Already sad what happened. I hope you have not got it quite so bad! I think of you! 🙏🏻
