A typical day in New York

This time I find jet lag very uncomfortable. We were all awake at 3 a.m. That would have been useful in Japan, where we were traveling in a camper and trying to cover several kilometers a day. That turned out to be somewhat difficult in Japan. On the one hand, Google Maps kept leading us astray, and on the other hand, the speed limit was often 40 km/h on country roads and 70 km/h on highways. Our jet lag at the time was such that we slept until at least 11 a.m. This didn't leave much time to explore the area, as it's pitch dark at 4:30 p.m.

When we looked out the window this morning, it was raining. So we decided to go shopping and visit the museum in the afternoon, which the taxi driver highly recommended on the first day. So we took the ferry again, passing the Statue of Liberty, to get to the outlet. Unfortunately, we weren't in the mood for shopping at all, maybe because we couldn't take much with us since we didn't check any baggage. Therefore, we decided to watch the Morocco vs Spain football match. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi in this outlet center was very weak, so a street vendor from Morocco offered us to watch the game on his phone. That was a lot of fun, so it didn't matter that we were standing in the rain. Without buying anything except hot dogs, we drove back to Manhattan. There we went to the Museum of Natural History. The only cool thing, we thought, was the fact that the movie 'Night at the Museum' was shot there. I think we had already been well served with museums in Tokyo and Japan. Therefore, we left the museum after about an hour and went back to our apartment.

After a long day on our feet, we are always glad when we lie in bed.
