Peru - Day 16 - Theft :-( !!!

Early in the morning, we arrive in Puno after another night on the bus. We wanted to spend a whole day on Lake Titicaca. But unfortunately, everything goes differently than expected. When getting off the bus, Pascal's day backpack with his passport is stolen. So, luck has completely deserted us for the first time.
At the lowest point of our journey, we still reacted calmly.

Step 1: Contact Peru Hop, who provided us with a guide
Step 2: Report to the police together with the tour guide (English - Spanish)
Step 3: Contact the embassy in Lima and the consulate in Cusco to obtain a new passport
Step 4: Organize a free return trip to Lima
Step 5: Get passport photos taken
Step 6: Free day trip to Lake Titicaca rescheduled for the next day

All in all, still the worst day of our trip so far. One thing is certain; we will not visit Puno again in our lifetime!!!!
