yes, you have great malls, a chrome-plated train station where even a robot bull stands, your girls are two years ahead of ours in fashion. But unfortunately, you didn't capture me. I didn't feel comfortable and safe in you (that's why the bike wasn't there either). Sorry..,

Dear old Birmingham,

You are a child of industrialization and it was probably awful to live in you ("black by day and red by night"), but what you have left behind - canals and locks, iron bridges, shipyards and halls - fascinates me. Probably also because Chris from Brindley Cruises brought you so vividly during the canal tour. I will gladly come back!
