On Wednesday we went back to the center of Hsinchu. Here we visited the Zoo and the Glass Museum. They are located next to each other in a small park near the train station. Because it's already very warm during the day, cherry trees and other plants were already blooming in many places.

The Hsinchu Zoo has recently been renovated and it looks great. The grounds are beautifully designed, the enclosures looked good, and we had a warm 25°C. However, the area is not particularly large and we were done in less than an hour.
There were some monkeys, a hippo, flamingos, bears, and a few other animals to admire. There were information boards at all enclosures, some of which were even in English. I thought that the entrance fee of 50NT$ (~1.60€) was definitely worth it.
Right next to it was the Glass Museum and there was even a Glass Blowing Workshop where you could watch the process. We watched the production of a bowl and then went into the museum. Hsinchu, and Taiwan in general, is known for its glass art and there was a lot to see on the two floors. In addition, Taiwan also produces a large quantity of LCD screens and other glass products, for example.
Since we spontaneously felt like having burgers, we went to Table Joe again and I treated myself to a burger with powdered sugar, strawberries, and a sweet sauce. It was unusual, but incredibly delicious. After that, we went home and spent the rest of the day relaxing.
