Day 10 - last sightseeing

ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ: 31.07.2017

We take the Shinkansen to Kyoto in the morning and visit the bamboo forest and a temple there.

Today it is so hot that the t-shirt is already soaked after a few minutes. The most important activity today is getting water. Fortunately, there are drink vending machines on every corner.

The bamboo forest is cool and there are shrines everywhere.

Then we visit a temple. It is a larger area with multiple buildings spread out.

Then I treat myself to a popsicle with real strawberries.

Yesterday we had a "snow ice". It was similar to shaved ice cubes.

After a snack, we visit the Inari Shrine, known for its thousands (yes, really) of Torii gates.

I want to hike up the mountain, but it takes too long. Plus, it's really hot. So the guys give up and I visit a Buddha temple, which is also a World Heritage Site.

After a quick refreshment at the platform (greetings to colleague Balog), we head back to Nagoya, where the Triebers board, and then continue to Tokyo. Along the way, we also see Mount Fuji, although my first photo is a bit unlucky.

We have checked in and are waiting for the departure. But first, one last sushi.
