In the midst of dolphin schools

We wake up with the moon still in the sky, but it already has to share it with the first rays of sunshine, a great sight.

Today we have a kayaking tour planned, hoping to be able to jump into the water right next to dolphins.

After a delicious breakfast, we set off for the kayak rental in bright sunshine, pack our things into the kayak, and off we go. There is already a small sea turtle swimming next to us when we get into our kayak, if that's not the perfect starting conditions for an unforgettable day.

And indeed: after a few minutes of paddling, we see them: the first dolphins, or rather dolphin schools. Of course, I can't resist - mask on, fins on, and dive in. It's pure madness, sometimes the dolphins are less than half a meter away from me in the water, indescribable. And when you also get to see the dolphin babies, you are simply speechless.

But it's not just under the water that we are treated to such a unique spectacle, even above the water we are spoiled with all kinds of acrobatics, I can't name all the different jumping styles, you have to see it...

We spend a whole 2 hours in the bay, and even though our underwater friends sometimes take a well-deserved break, they always come back and our patient waiting is rewarded. Somehow these creatures have something almost magical, and I hope to remember this day forever.

Unfortunately, every beautiful moment comes to an end, and so do we eventually leave the bay as our friends swim away...

But since we don't like to spend a second of our vacation unused, we also go on tour in the afternoon, this time snorkeling nearby, and our lucky streak continues. So I have a very private encounter with a sea turtle while snorkeling, maybe a relative of the one in the morning!

And how could such an eventful day filled with highlights end in any other way than with a worthy sunset, which with its blood-red rays still adorns the horizon forever!
