Last stop Bali

ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤ: 25.02.2019

And off we go. Our final destination after almost 6 months of world travel is waiting for us. We have 3 more weeks to enjoy our journey to the fullest. Does it make us sad? Yes, but we also miss our families at home and there are still great adventures awaiting us. We decided to do something different during our first week in Bali. For the first time in such a long time, the 4 of us separated. Anna's boyfriend flew in from Germany and they went on an exciting tour around beautiful Bali and took a trip to the stunning island of Nosa Penida. The rest of us booked a wonderful Airbnb with a pool and a large rooftop terrace where we could overlook the bustling streets of Bali from above and everything suddenly seemed so quiet. But we didn't spend this time just the three of us, Julian and Moritz stayed with us and together we visited many amazing places and had an unforgettable time. After the week was over, we were all happy to be together again and eagerly shared our experiences. The first week went by so quickly and it was time to say goodbye again. At the exact same airport where we will be in 2 weeks, taking our final flight back home. It's a strange feeling. But now it's time for a sporty and hopefully eventful week at the "Solid Surfhouse" surf camp. We were more than excited to see what would await the four of us. And let me tell you, our expectations were exceeded. Who could have known that surfing would bring us so much joy? Our daily routine consisted of waking up in the morning, going to yoga, being served a delicious breakfast, and then strapping the surfboards onto the car and heading to the beach. First, we did some dry exercises and then we jumped right into the waves. Of course, we weren't simply thrown into the "cold water" (which was actually quite warm!), each of us had a 1:1 instructor who gave their utmost effort and passion for the job. We had so much fun on the first day that we could hardly wait for the next. And the feeling of making progress every day was very motivating. At the end of the week, none of us can claim to be able to surf now. But we got a taste of surfing and at least caught a few waves. No comparison to our instructors who were all very talented. When we watched them surf, you could see the pure passion on their faces. We are all sad to see this week go by so quickly. To be honest, we have become accustomed to this lifestyle and our daily routine and could keep going like this forever. But they say you should stop when it's the most beautiful, right? In our minds, we have amazing surfing memories, great conversations with wonderful people, and unforgettable moments that we wouldn't want to miss. The surf camp was definitely the right decision and highly recommended. We are already sure that Bali is the perfect ending to our trip and we are looking forward to our final week together, where we have booked another Airbnb and will pamper ourselves. One more week to go...
